Jashpur: In Chhattisgarh's Jashpur district, an unidentified person lost his life after coming in contact with the wire of a roadside electric pole in a private bus on Wednesday evening. A police officer said that the accident took place at around 6.30 pm in Dokra outpost area of Kansbel police station area of the district. The bus carrying about a dozen passengers came in contact with the wire of an electric pole on the roadside, causing a short circuit, which led to the fire, the official said. He also said that one of the passengers was burnt to death while the other was rescued with the help of local residents. He said that after receiving the news of the case, the police team reached the spot and the body was sent for post-mortem. Police officials said that the matter is being investigated after registering a case. In another incident, on Wednesday, 6 passengers going for Chardham Yatra died in an accident. It is being said that all the passengers had left for the journey in the vehicle. After the accident, the police and administration team reached the spot. Rescue operation is going on. Giving information about the incident, Tehri Collector said, "The accident happened near Tehri district. The passengers had also carried a gas cylinder with them for cooking, due to which the accident happened.
