Gavaskar says 'absence of Kohli will give relief to Australia'

Adelaide: Former Team India captain Sunil Gavaskar has said that the absence of regular captain of Indian team Virat Kohli will provide relief to the Australian team. Let us know that Virat Kohli will return to India after the birth of his first child after the first Test match of the four-match Test series between India and Australia starting on 17 December.

Virat Kohli has scored 6 centuries in 12 Tests played in Australia. In such a situation, his return home can affect the performance of the team. Gavaskar further said that I agree that in the absence of Virat, there will be a big gap in the batting lineup. Australia will not have to bowl in the last three Tests against Virat Kohli and it will be a great relief for them.

Gavaskar said that in such a situation, Virat would like to perform well in the Adelaide Test so that the team gets a tight start. However, in the absence of Virat, another player of the team will have to take the extra weight and improve their level of play. Former Australian captain Allan Border also gave his opinion on Virat's absence and said that it is very difficult to find his option.
