New Delhi: With the start of the 13th season of IPL, former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has returned to the cricket field after 437 days. Dhoni took a break from cricket after the World Cup semi-final match against New Zealand last year. After a long wait, fans on the field welcomed Dhoni's return in a tremendous fashion. In view of this, little master Sunil Gavaskar said that two-time World Cup winning captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has also left Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli behind in terms of popularity in the country. Dhoni shocked the fans by announcing his retirement from international cricket on August 15 just before the start of IPL. There are allegations that Dhoni can also call IPL a good bye after this season. Praising Dhoni, Gavaskar said, "Dhoni comes from Ranchi, where cricket is not so high, so the whole of India wants him. In Mumbai and Kolkata, Kohli's fans will get more in Delhi and Bengaluru, but Dhoni's fans are all over India," says Tendulkar. Dhoni has registered his name as soon as he returns to the cricket field. Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings to Mumbai Indians by 5 wickets. It was Dhoni's 100th win as CSK captain. Apart from Dhoni, no captain in IPL has been able to win his team in 100 matches so far. Also Read: IPL 2020: What Dhoni is doing on the field before the match?
