New Delhi: Corona has wreaked havoc on the country's Supreme Court. Ten Supreme Court judges have been hit by the virus. Official sources said on Tuesday that the epidemic infection has greatly affected the functioning. He also said that the rate of infected employees has reached close to 30 per cent. Those with mild symptoms have been kept in home isolation. Chief Justice (CJI) NV Ramana is monitoring the entire matter. Out of 32 judges of the apex court including CJI, 10 judges have been found infected with corona so far. Media reports quoted sources as saying, "Two infected judges (JusticeK M Joseph and Justice PS Narasimha) have started working negatively and again. At present, eight judges have been found to be covid positive. They have been instructed to stay in home isolation.'' A central government medical team led by Dr Shyama Gupta is working around 24 hours a day to take care of the medical needs of infected judges and staff. About 100-200 RT-PCR tests are being conducted daily. The transition rate is continuously around 30 per cent. Sources said that out of about 1500 employees in the Supreme Court, 400 have tested positive in the third wave of the epidemic so far.
