Supreme Court Grants Bail to Manish Sisodia: AAP Leaders React

New Delhi: On Friday, the Supreme Court granted bail to Manish Sisodia, a prominent leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), in the Delhi excise policy case. After spending 17 months in prison, Sisodia is set to be released on Saturday, marking a significant moment for both him and his party.

The news has been met with widespread jubilation among AAP members, who took to social media to celebrate the decision. The official X handle of AAP announced the development with the phrase "Satyamev Jayate," reflecting their belief in the triumph of truth.

AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh praised the Supreme Court's decision, calling it a victory for truth and justice. He criticized the case as lacking evidence and claimed that Sisodia's imprisonment was unjust. Singh described the bail decision as a “slap on the dictatorship of the central government” and expressed hope that other AAP leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal and Satyendra Jain, would also be released soon.

Delhi Minister Atishi shared her joy on X, echoing the sentiment with “Satyamev Jayate.”

Another AAP Rajya Sabha MP, Raghav Chadha, welcomed the bail, celebrating Sisodia as a hero of Delhi's education revolution. Chadha highlighted the fact that Sisodia's time in prison—530 days--was a consequence of his efforts to improve education for underprivileged children. He shared images of Sisodia with children, reassuring them that their “Manish uncle” is returning.
