The Supreme court is all set to pass its judgment in relation to the ban of BS-III vehicles. On March 29, the court ruled that vehicles not compliant with Bharat Stage IV (BS IV) emission standards cannot be sold after March 31. The center told the court on march 28 that automakers were allowed to clear unsold stocks after the cut-off date when BS III and BS IV norms were introduced. The court was also conveyed that technically and financially it was impractical to convert BS III vehicles to BS IV.
