New Delhi: Supreme court will give its verdict on a review petition of fugitive liquor businessman Vijay Mallya on Monday. It is noteworthy that Mallya had transferred US $ 40 million to his children in violation of a court order, on which the apex court in May 2017 convicted him of contempt of court. After this court decision, Mallya filed a review petition in the court, on which the bench of Justices UU Lalit and Ashok Bhushan reserved their verdict after hearing it through video conferencing on Thursday (August 27). Was told to give decision During this time, the court had said that there are two serious charges against Vijay Mallya, the first is that he did not disclose his assets and the second is to try to hide the assets wrongly. Let us tell you that in this case the court had asked its registry in June to explain why Mallya's reconsideration petition was not listed before the court concerned in the last three years. He had asked the registry to provide all the information including the names of the officials who had seen the file related to the petition in the last three years.
