Skipper: Rohit Sharma

Strength

1. With 3 IPL trophies, Mumbai Indians are one of the most successful sides in the competition.

2. Rohit Sharma, the skipper of the side is regarded as one of the most destructive batsman around.

3. Two West Indies players in the form of Evin Lewis and Kieron Pollard make that batting stronger.

4. Quality T20 all-rounders in Pandya brothers, Kieron Pollard, Ben Cutting and JP Duminy can take the games away on their day.

5. Mumbai Indians did not bid for their star player Lasith Malinga which surprised a lot of players. But along with Jasprit Bumrah, they have two experienced overseas pacers in Pat Cummins and Mustafizur Rahman.

Weaknesses:

1. The spin department looks really weak for the Mumbai Indians as they do not have any specialist spinner in the side.

2. It was Harbhajan Singh who led their spin attack in earlier seasons.

3. Leg-spinner Rahul Chahar was bought by a whopping 1.9 Crore by Mumbai Indians

Opportunity

1. Krunal Pandya, Mumbai Indian side is always in the hunt for an all-rounder and the 26-year-old will get the opportunity to do so.

2. Rahul Chahar might shine under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma

Threats

1. Mumbai’s two premier quicks, Pat Cummins and Mustafizur Rahman are injuries prone. Their fitness will be watched carefully by the camp because if they get injured, the trouble for them in the bowling department might hurt them in winning their 4th title of the IPL.
