T20 World Cup: Herschelle Gibbs reveals three teams as strong favourites

New Delhi: The ICC T20 World Cup in Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is just two months away from the start. Discussions have started on which team is a strong contender for the title. All the cricketing giants are sharing their views on this and explaining who according to them can name the title.

In the same vein, former South African batsman Herschelle Gibbs has described England, Pakistan, and India as strong contenders for the T20 World Cup. He also praised Virat Kohli, Babar Azam, and Jos Buttler and said that these players have the ability to perform under any circumstances. Former African batsman Herschelle Gibbs said India, England, and Pakistan are teams that have a strong chance of winning the World Cup title.

While Gibbs described India and England as strong teams, he described Pakistan as an unlikely team, which is difficult to predict when the Pak team will do. Gibbs also explained why he did not choose the West Indies as contenders, who are considered T20 specialist teams. Gibbs has said that UAE pitches will be spin-friendly, and windies batsmen will fight against spin as they prefer to play on wickets where the ball does not turn.
