New Delhi [India], July 18 (NT): Criticizing the attack at his office, Congress leader and Tiruantpuram MP Shashi Tharoor on Wednesday came down heavily upon the ruling party BJP. He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of destroying the idea of India and accepting pluralism. Tharoor further condemned the attack on Swami Agnivesh and called for immediate action. "It (attack on office) wasn't only an attack on constitutionally provided office but the larger attempt by ruling party to destroy the idea of India and accepting pluralism. Swami Agnivesh was also attacked. We shouldn't stand by as mob lynching and hooliganism rule democracy," Tharoor was quoted by ANI as saying in Lok Sabha during Parliament Monsoon session. Earlier Tharoor triggered a row after his "Hindu Pakistan" remark, earlier today for the second time he hit out at Modi-led Centre and asked whether they are trying to start "Taliban in Hinduism".
