Taliban to resume hiring government employees, excluding women

According to reports in the media on Tuesday, the Taliban have stated that they would resume hiring Afghan government personnel, barring female employees.

Officials from the Taliban's Administrative Reform Commission told reporters here on Monday that they will hire government servants through an open competition.

When asked about hiring female staff, management stated that a decision had yet to be made and that it would take time. Kiramatullah Akhundzada, the head of the Commission, stated that they will seek to "provide more facilities in government administration and push for further improvements in the administrations."
