Government of this state increased the price of liquor in one fell swoop

Chennai: The MK Stalin government in Tamil Nadu has announced to increase the prices of liquor in the state. The state cabinet meeting held on March 5 decided to increase the prices of liquor in Tamil Nadu. After this order of the state government, those who buy a 180 ml bottle of liquor will have to pay Rs 10, rs 20 more for a 375 ml bottle.

For a 750 ml liquor bottle, customers will have to pay 40 rupees more. With this, the price of beer has also been increased by 10 rupees. The state government says that for the time being, the hike will be limited to IMFL brands only. It is being told that after the increase in the prices of liquor by the state government, it will benefit the exchequer by Rs 2000 crore. Let us know that this is the first increase in the prices of liquor by the ruling DMK government of Tamil Nadu. 

The state in the country which have the highest sale of liquor, Tamil Nadu is included in the same list. During the lockdown, liquor worth Rs 210 crore were sold in Tamil Nadu in a day.
