CHENNAI: Tamil NADU Chief Minister MK Stalin stated on Friday that educational institutions should support education in the native tongue and that initiatives should be labelled in Tamil. In a speech at the opening of a school here, Chief Minister Stalin urged the managers of such private institutions to support teaching in the mother tongue. In addition, he stated that school-created schemes should be labelled in Tamil. The chief minister, speaking at the opening of a new DAV Group school in Pallikaranai, emphasised that love for one's mother tongue and country is essential for everyone. The Chief Minister praised the DAV school officials for signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with two government-run schools here to provide education-based assistance.
