The scrapping of 500 and 1000 rupee notes forced people to come up with the ways to use their unearned black-bucks. Seems like, somehow they wanted to get rid of it. The up to the minute news waved off from Tamil Nadu about a Vellore situated Jalakandeswarar temple that has received offering of 44 lakh in 500 and 1000 notes this Sunday reveals about how people are generating ideas to hold themselves hidden from legal actions against them. The authorities at the temple are clueless about the source of money, whether it has come from, a single devotee or from any group. “We will deposit this amount in bank for exchange, this is the highest ever contribution to the temple”, says temple’s secretary S. Suresh Kumar. With the overnight demonetization of Rs. 500 and 1000, the government has banned the exchange currency over Rs 2.5 lakh. The restriction is bothering the temple’s authority, whether it will be possible to use the donated amount for the temple or not.
