You probably spent last weekend buzzing about Tanmay Bhat’s snapchat video, as the AIB’s comedian Tanmay Bhat made a snapchat face-swap video named ‘Sachin vs Lata: civil war’ that poked fun at cricket legend master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and legendary singer of Bollywood Lata Mangeshkar. And however, the video became a great concern for the country, whether the two legend celebrity don’t even bother about it. I am a great fan of both the legends; I enjoyed Sachin’s playing and even love to listens Lata Mangeshkar’s songs. But, I too find the video funny, here the thing is- you are totally well within your rights to dislike thing, as it is the online viral video it’s not compulsory to watch, you can easily shut the video if you not like it. Here, we should understand we are living in the era where we have number’s of sources to entertain so if you don’t like Bhat’s video, big deal, check something else. Bhat's video of Sachin and Lata doesn't affect your life in any way. He isn't oppressing you, attacking you, intimidating your security in any way whatsoever. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) threatened to file a complaint against the AIB co-founder and they've even said that they won't allow the comedian to host any shows in Mumbai. But should a comedian under the prison for making snapchat video? It seems, it’s kind of hypocrisy, because there is a wonderful clip on YouTube in which a young singer, Sugandha Mishra, imitates the melody queen Lata Mangeshkar, in which she also mimic and make fun of singer Lata Mangeshkar, and the audience are not just laughing at the mimicry but also at the innuendo. Andthis is not only video, as numbers of comic video easily found in social sites which contain INSULTIVE or INTOLRENCE content, yet not came in noticed, then Why Tanmay Bhat’s video? Don’t you feel its hypocrisy? And let it to be clear that, AIB guys have all the right to say whatever they want or react however they want to Tanmay Bhat's video. As it is said, “Comedy is a tool for the powerless to use against the powerful, and if you censor it, just because your feelings got hurt, you'll always be a slave to the powerful”. ~Harshita Chhetri
