One of the country's largest automakers, Tata Motors has announced the appointment of Satish Borwanar to the post of Chief Operating Officer (COO). A statement has been issued on behalf of the company, which states that the Board of Tata Motors has decided to increase the term for Satish Borwankar as the acting director for two years and has appointed COO with immediate effect. It further added, "Ravindra Pisharody had resigned from the post of executive director (commercial vehicles) for personal reasons. Pisharody also resigned as director of the company and its associated firms. He had been an executive director on the Tata Motors board for almost five years, since June 2012. Tata Motors said, "his successor would be announced soon."
