Tata Motors refutes rumours to sell stake in JLR

Famous car giant Tata Motors has issued a statement regarding its premium contract brands Jaguar and Land Rover stating that "Jaguar and Land Rover are not selling their partnerships, and whatever information about it coming are baseless."

It has been further stated by the company that, "No such decision has been taken by Tata Motors. Jaguar and Land Rover are very strong pillars of the Tata Group. Both of these are premium brands of the company whose cars are well-liked, and they are very popular all over the world. Cars of both these brands are equipped with luxurious features".

Tata Motors has been able to maintain its fluidity even after the pandemic, and the company continues to work. There were reports last year that Tata Motors was discussing with BMW Group. The discussion was to sell a partial and a few percent stakes of Tata Motors. According to the information, before the outbreak of COVID-19, JLR was struggling slow sales of cars and heavy development cost for purchasing new electrified technology for other cars, after which the news surfaced.
