New Delhi:Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the largest IT company in the country, on Monday overtaken Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) to become the most valuable company in the country in terms of market capital. During the afternoon trading, TCS had a total market cap of Rs 12,45,341.44 crore on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), while reliance industries had a market cap of Rs 12,42,593.78 crore. RIL shares were trading at Rs 1950.30 on BSE, down 4.84% on Monday. RIL's financial results were dominating the shares of the company due to non-confidence of investors. TCS, on the other hand, strengthened 1.26% to touch its one-year high of Rs 3,345.25. TCS had also achieved the status of being the most valuable domestic company in the country in March last year. The market cap of companies varies every day depending on their tom value. Public sector UCO Bank reported on Monday that it had a net profit of Rs 35.44 crore during the third quarter of the current fiscal ended December 2020.
