Mumbai: The All India Senior Selection Committee on Thursday selected the team for the 3-match ODI series and 3-match T20 series against Sri Lanka in July. The team will be captained by Shikhar Dhawan while Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been made vice-captain. All the matches will be played at the R.Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo. Prithvi Shaw has been included in the squad. Openers Devdutt Padikkal and Ruturaj Gaikwad have also been named in the squad. Varun Chakraborty, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Rahul Chahar, K Gowtham have been selected as spinners, while young pacer Chetan Sakaria, who has impressed everyone in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has also been included in the squad. The schedule for the three-match ODI series and the three-match T20 series between India and Sri Lanka was confirmed earlier this week. Three ODIs will be played on July 13, 16 and 18. While the T20 series will begin on July 21 and the next two matches will be played on July 23 and 25. Any Indian player who is part of the travelling group for the World Test Championship final and the England Test series. He will not play against Sri Lanka.
