New Delhi: The Indian women's cricket team has defeated the West Indies by two runs in their last practice match played on Tuesday before the T20 World Cup. Batting first, Team India scored 107 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs and then restricted the West Indies to 105 for seven. For the West Indies, Lee Ann Kirby scored the most 42 runs, besides Hailey Matthews 25 and Chinle Henry 17 runs. For India, Poonam Yadav took the maximum three and Shikha Pandey, Deepti Sharma and captain Harampreet Kaur took one wicket each. Earlier, India scored 107 runs for eight wickets. Number 10 batsman Shikha Pandey scored the most unbeaten 24 runs for Team India. Apart from him, Deepti Sharma scored 21, Pooja Vastrakar 13 and Shefali Verma scored a remarkable inning of 12 runs. From West Indies, Shamilya Koman and Anisa Mohammed got two each while Chinle Henry, Effie Fletcher, Captain Stephanie Taylor and Elijah Allini got one wicket each.
