Sridhar wrote in a tweet that, "As a proud Indian citizen, I have decided to give 2 lakh and 1.5 lakh rupees to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund and Rs 50,000 to the Secunderabad Cantt Board."

Rohit Sharma has decided to give 80 lakhs and Ajinkya Rahane 10 lakhs. Apart from these, Sachin Tendulkar has decided to provide assistance of 50 lakh rupees. The BCCI, as an institution, has announced a donation of Rs 51 crore. Sourav Ganguly has also come forward to help the needy.
