Patna: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday made his statement on the controversy over the alleged attack on a party worker of his elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav and said that "appropriate steps" will be taken at an "appropriate time". The opposition leader termed the defamation notices sent by the elder brother to several journalists as a "personal" matter and said those who have done nothing wrong need not fear. According to the report, the younger son of party founder Lalu Prasad interacted with the media outside the RJD's state headquarters late in the evening as part of the organisation's membership drive. But those who know me very well know that Tejashwi Yadav takes a proper step at the right time. On the beating of the same party worker Ramraj, he said, "I have discussed the matter with my brother as well as Ramraj. Ramraj had alleged that Tej Pratap took him to a deserted room and his henchmen took off his clothes and assaulted him and a video of the entire episode was shot by the RJD leader on his mobile phone. Tejashwi, however, did not elaborate on what his conclusion was after discussing the matter with both parties. On the defamation notice sent by Tej Pratap from the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar to nine journalists for damages of Rs 50 crore, Tejashwi said, "This is a personal matter (of Tej Pratap). I say, what's the point of being afraid? If journalists have not done anything wrong, they should respond to the notice fearlessly." The court gave this verdict on the bail of Navneet Rana and Ravi Rana!
