Corona cases are continues increasing in its second wave. In Telangana with authorities reporting 2055 new cases and seven fatalities reported on Wednesday. The number of Covid-19 tests have been ramped-up with authorities in the last 24-hours managing to conduct 87, 332 Covid-19 tests while results of another 4457 samples are being processed.
Here it is needed to share that the number of Covid-19 infections in areas under GHMC has now shot-up to 398 while Medchal-Malkajgiri district has reported 214 fresh Covid-19 infections. Similarly, Nirmal district has reported 100 new infections while 169 cases were reported from Nizamabad. A total of 174 new Covid-19 infections have been reported from Rangareddy district while 99 more cases were reported from Jagtiyal on Wednesday.
As on Wednesday, the cumulative number of active Covid-19 infections in Telangana has risen to 13,362 out of which 8,263 positive individuals are under home and institutional isolation. With seven Covid-19 related deaths, the cumulative number of fatalities as on Wednesday has reached 1741. With 2055 new Covid-19 infections, the total number of positive cases since the pandemic has now reached 3,18,704. A total of 303 persons have recovered on Wednesday, taking the total recoveries in the State to 3,03,601 with a recovery rate of 95.26 percent, while the countrywide recovery rate was 91.7 percent.
