On Saturday, Chief Secretary, Somesh Kumar has written a letter to Union Health Secretary asking about 30 lakhs covid doses. As per reporting Telangana has increased number of infected cases and for vaccination more doses required. Somesh Kumar said in the letter “Covid vaccination has been ramped up in Telangana. Due to concerted efforts, the number of vaccinations in the state in one day crossed 1.15 lakh on Friday. In the coming days this will be enhanced to over two lakh per day. As you are aware, Telangana State is left with only 5.66 lakh doses of vaccine which would last for three days at the most. Therefore, I would like to request you to urgently provide at least 30 lakh doses of vaccine to Telangana for the next 15 days,”. Here it is to be noted that many cases have reported in Telangana and on Saturday cases reported was more than Friday. Now the record of cases the total number of active Covid-19 cases in Telangana has reached 20,184 out of which 13,366 positive individuals are under home and institutional isolation. With seven more deaths, the cumulative number of fatalities due to Covid-19 so far in Telangana has reached 1759. With 3,187 cases, the total number of positive cases since the pandemic has now reached 3,27,278. A total of 787 persons have recovered on Saturday, taking the total recoveries in the State to 3,05,335.
