Telangana’s IT companies to switch-off the Work-from-home

Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s Information Technology (IT) Telangana’s IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan Telangana government wants people to return to workplaces and looks at IT offices to be fully functional by September end. After remaining impacted for more than a year due to the Covid pandemic

“Vaccination drive has gained momentum while the infection rate has dropped drastically. With adequate precautions in place, offices can start opening up just like other sectors including retail and hospitality," Principal Secretary said, adding that many small businesses dependent on IT firms have been majorly impacted due to loss of livelihood.

The government is prepared to deal with any unfortunate situation. “If there is a third wave of the pandemic, we are prepared for it. After successfully handling two waves of the coronavirus, the government has enough facilities, medical equipment, trained staff, medicines etc to deal with the situation. We are monitoring the situations in other States as well,” Ranjan added.

“Smaller companies have started recalling vaccinated employees in small batches especially those catering to foreign clients on crucial projects. Multinational companies have opened up to 10%. We are expecting the numbers to go up soon," said HYSEA President Bharani Kumar Aroll.
