Telugu actor Rallappali Venkata Narasimha Rao breathed his last yesterday at a private hospital in Hyderabad. The 74-year-old actor passed away in at 6:16 PM. The actor was apparently suffering from a liver problem for a long time, stated the hospital sources. Rallapalli began his acting career in theater at a young age and subsequently entered films. He had also worked as a staff artist in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The actor started his acting career with theatre at a very young age but ended up working in films down south. The actor was quite popular and had worked in more than 800 movies. Rallappali was a popular comedian and a character artiste. YSRCP President Sri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has also expressed his grief in a statement released by his party. The statement said, “YSRCP President Sri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed his grief over the demise of veteran comedian Rallapalli Venkata Narasimha Rao and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members. The artiste had won laurels in theatre, television, and films as an actor, writer, and director through his inimitable style." He was a five-time winner of the prestigious Nandi award in undivided Andhra Pradesh. Some of his well-known films include 'Thoorpu velle Railu', 'Srivariki Prema Lekha' and 'Rendu Rellu Aaru'.
