Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh is getting hotter as heat waves prevail in Jhansi with maximum temperature of 44.7 degrees Celsius today.
Met department said, the day temperature rose appreciably in Faizabad, Gorakhpur divisions and changed little in the remaining parts of the state.
The MeT warned that dust storm or thunderstorm accompanied with gust may hit isolated places over western UP on June 6.
