Srinagar: Another terror attack has been reported in Sopore area of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Militants targeted police and a joint team of CRPF at a naka in Arampora in the district and opened fire on them. According to reports, suspected militants opened fire on security forces in Arampora area of Sopore in north Kashmir. A local civilian has been injured in the firing. Meanwhile, the entire area has been cordoned off to nab the fleeing militants and a massive search operation has been launched, an official said. Earlier, the terror attack in Sopore has also come to light at the end of March. On March 29, farida khan (Fareeda Khan), BDC chairperson, was attacked by terrorists in Sopore. A police officer and a local citizen were seriously injured in the attack, while a police officer was martyred. Last month, terrorists had an encounter with security forces in Nathipora area of the area.
