Chennai: Chennai based TVS Motor Company is preparing to launch its biggest streetfighter motorcycle Apache RTR 310 in India soon. The design of the upcoming middleweight offering is likely to be inspired by the Draken concept showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo. When released, the sporty motorcycle will compete with the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G 310 R and the Bajaj Dominar 400. In India, KTM, BMW and Bajaj have dominated the middleweight streetfighter motorcycle market. However, TVS Motor Company now intends to win the sub-400cc championship with its upcoming Apache RTR 310 model. With established competitors, the newcomer will face a tough challenge. The mill should generate a maximum of 33.5 horsepower and 27.3 Nm of maximum torque. The RTR 310 will also get different engine tunes for each riding mode, just like its supersport counterpart. The upcoming TVS Apache RTR 310 will also be a part of the brand's Built to Order (BTO) program like the RR 310. Potential buyers will have the opportunity to upgrade their motorcycle with upgraded hardware parts under the factory customization program, such as fully adjustable suspension units, a "TVS Racing" paint scheme with sporty decals, and painted alloy wheels.
