New Delhi: Uber Technologies: On the first day of the final placement of Indian Institute of Technologies, Uber Technologies has offered the highest salary to the students. The company has offered a salary of Rs 2 crore plus. The San Francisco based mobility service company has offers at IIT Bombay, Madras, Roorkee, Kanpur, Guwahati and Varanasi.

According to media reports, Uber's salary package is around $274,250 or Rs 2.05 crore. This includes a base pay of $128,250 (approximately Rs. 96 lakh), target cash bonus, new higher grant and sign in bonus. After a gap of nearly six years, a salary package of Rs 2 crore has been offered on the IIT campus. The top package in IIT last year was $200,000, or about Rs 1.48 crore. It was on behalf of Cohesity, an IT company based in Sen. Francisco.

However, Uber is yet to respond to its package. According to the report, a company spokesperson said Uber is keeping engineers for its centres in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. According to the ongoing recruitment draw event, Uber is constantly moving to the top technology campus across the country, including IIT, the company said. The company is giving graduates a chance to apply for the jobs there.
