Kanpur: An old woman was brutally assaulted by her daughter-in-law in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The video of the incident went viral on social media. After the video of the assault incident surfaced, the police arrested the criminal daughter-in-law. Taking action under section 151 against the criminal daughter-in-law, the police registered a case and sent her to jail.
According to the news received, the police took cognizance of the matter when the video of the assault on the old woman went viral on social media. The police reached the victim's house and inquired. In this it was found that the old lady Jairam Devi lives with her husband Bhagwan Bali in Bhaupur of Chakeri. His daughter-in-law Aarti Gupta beats her aged mother-in-law for months. For two days, people made a video of the assault and made it viral.
After the same video went viral, the investigation was started on the instructions of the Joint Commissioner of Police. After this, the police found out and arrested the criminal Aarti. In the case of brutally assaulting an old woman, the police took action against the criminal daughter-in-law under 151. Regarding this arrest, the PRO of DCP Pramod Kumar said that the daughter-in-law has been sent to court only in 151. Action will be taken after further investigation.
