The death toll in Bihar and Assam reach to 98 and 133

New Delhi: The floods in Bihar, Assam and West Bengal have badly affected the life. In Bihar, 98 people have died in the flood. At the same time, 133 people have died from floods in 24 districts of Assam. The flood has taken 15 districts of Uttar Pradesh into its grip.

133 dead in Assam:

17 people have died since yesterday's flood in six northern districts of West Bengal. However, the condition of the flood has improved some. 10 more people died in floods in Assam. About 31 lakh people have been affected by this disaster in 24 districts. For the third time in the state of floods, the number of dead has increased to 133.

People are forced to live on camps and roads:

With the death of 47 people in Bihar, the number of dead has now gone to 98 and more than one crore people have been affected. Rail and road have been damaged due to the flood and millions of people are forced to stay in the relief camp outside the houses. 

CM Nitish did air survey:

Saharsa district has also been affected by the flood. A sudden flood caused by heavy rains in neighboring Nepal and Bihar has killed 119 people in the state so far. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar yesterday took stock of the flood affected areas by taking an aerial survey of Gopalganj, Bagaha, Betia, Raxaul and Motihari.

CM Nitish Kumar directed the relief and rescue operations to speed up and to provide quick help to every needy people. They reached the indoor stadium located at Betiya Nagar Bhawan and inspected the food packet work being prepared for the flood victims and gave necessary directions to the senior officials.
