Riyadh: The tourism ministry announced on Wednesday that Saudi Arabia has not officially submitted a bid to host the FIFA World Cup. As part of promoting sport and tourism in the Kingdom in line with Saudi Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia is constantly considering hosting a number of major sporting events, according to a tweet from the ministry. Major sporting events like Formula 1, football, and heavyweight boxing title fights have all taken place in the Kingdom. Saudi Arabia was chosen as the host nation in October.
