Lucknow: A person has been arrested on Tuesday in connection with illegal fundraising in Bhopal by allegedly giving fake receipts for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. This investigation has been done by the police on the complaint of Vishwa Hindu Parishad officials. Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Bhadoria said that a case under Section 420 has been registered against Manish Rajput at Ashoka Garden Police Station for collecting illegal money by giving fake coupons for the construction of the temple. He said that the police have taken Rajput into police custody and he is being interrogated. This investigation has been done on the written complaint of the District-cum-Minister of World Hindu Council (VHP) Yatendra Pal Singh Jadaun. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has been authorized to collect support funds for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Bhadauria said that when the Vishwa Hindu Parishad official reached Shashank Jaiswal's shop in Friends Colony in Ashoka Garden police station area on 31 January, he saw the case for forgery. The shop operator said that a man named Manish Rajput has already taken the amount from them. The shop owner also showed the receipt of donations to VHP officials. On the receipt given by Shashank Jaiswal, the name of 'Ram Bhumi Sankalp Society Bhopal' was written. The receipt was not authorized by the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas. VHP officials complained to the police. While issuing this, the police arrested Manish Rajput. Police said Manish had unofficially taken a support fund of Rs 151 from the shop operator for the construction of the Ram temple.
