New Delhi: Opposition parties have termed the lathi charge and water splashes on farmers who are protesting peacefully against the agriculture law of the Central government. The Congress supported the farmers' Delhi Chalo March, alleging that instead of listening to the voice of the farmers, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is showering them with water splashes and sticks in winter which is a proof of its dictatorship. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, National General Secretary of the Congress Party, shared a video of the farmers being hit by water splashes and tweeted that instead of hearing the voice of the farmers in protest against the law that snatching support price from farmers, the BJP government was watering them in the heavy cold. Everything is being taken away from farmers and are being distributed to the banks, loan waivers, airport railway stations, capitalists. Congress's chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala also questioned that since when did farmers become a threat to the 'Delhi Durbar'? Surjewala alleged that forcibly stopping the farmers coming to Delhi in a Gandhian manner to meet their justified demands in the midst of the fierce cold and the spilling of water is living proof of the dictatorship of the Modi-Khattar government.
