The government might refuse to take 700 crores from UAE, this might be the reason

After the picture of the massive devastation caused by floods in Kerala, Chief Minister Pinarai Vijayan told the need to make new Kerala. After the review meeting, he said that the demand for a package of Rs 2600 crore from the Center will be sought. On the other hand, media reports say that the Indian government has humbly refused to accept the help of the $ 100 million (about 700 crore rupees) of the UAE.

However, there is no official statement about it yet, but reports say that the government believes that they will deal with this disaster at the domestic level. Before this, the government had also refused to seek foreign help in the Kedarnath disaster. 

On the other hand, Chief Minister Vijayan told that Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi has offered help by calling PM Narendra Modi. After the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, the Chief Minister told that the Center will send a report on the situation and demand a special package. The money will be needed first for this. Since the people of Kerala have served well in the Middle East countries, the non-residents of the area are very helpful. So far, Rs. 210 crore has come in the Chief Minister Relief Fund and about 160 crores have been donated.

The devastating floods of the century in Kerala have caused huge devastation. 10 lakh people have become homeless and since August 8, 223 people have been killed so far. State banks have also decided to avoid agricultural debt recovery for one year.

Due to the flood, Kochi International Airport has lost an estimated 220 crore rupees. Airport management has begun construction of rebuilding and other damaged infrastructure of about 2.5 km long border. Runway, taxiway, shops, runway lights and other equipment have suffered heavy losses. This airport is the world's first solar-powered, its solar power system has also been damaged. It is likely to turn it back on next week. At the moment, some flights have started from Naval Airport.

 

Hem Radio Service is also involved in the help of Kerala flood victims. Through this, the final mobile location of the person surrounded by the flood is known to the officers in the rescue so that the stranded person can be removed. The Ministry of Communications has licensed Ham Radio to operate services with special radio frequency. About 300 ham radio operators are serving 24 hours in Kerala. 1650 people have been rescued from Thiruvananthapuram centre between August 16 and 19, so far.

 

Jammu-Kashmir Bank will provide assistance of 11 crore rupees. Tripura government gave one crore rupees. ITC, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Hindustan Unilever will send salt, milk powder,Maggie, biscuit, ketchup, wheat products, soap, drinking water, hand wash, coffee. Sex workers of Ahmednagar of Maharashtra sent 21 thousand rupees. The staff of the National Commission for Women has given one day's salary. Appeal for help from commissions located in all states is being done.
