The film would have been the first Pakistani film to be released in India, which would have been shown in Indian cinemas after almost a decade. However, now it is not being released in India.

Why is 'The Legend of Maula Jatt' not releasing in India?

Zee Studios had acquired the distribution rights of the film, and the film was set to be released on a large scale in India. But, according to a report by news agency ANI, the film has not been allowed to be screened in Indian theatres. According to sources, this decision has been taken because Indian films have been banned in Pakistan since 2019. In response, India has also banned the release of Pakistani films. Due to this, 'The Legend of Maula Jat' will no longer be able to release in India.
