Dehradun: A precious phone went missing at the swearing-in ceremony of Saurabh Bahuguna, a minister who was sworn-in in the Pushkar Singh Dhami government of Uttarakhand on Wednesday. He had arrived at the parade ground in the capital Dehradun with his mobile phone. He reported it on social media.

Saurabh Bahuguna, a minister in the Bharatiya Janata Party government, wrote on Facebook, "My mobile phone (iPhone 13) has fallen somewhere at the time of the swearing-in ceremony at the Dehradun Parade Ground today. In such a situation, if any of you get a phone, then you contact me on my Facebook page. If anyone gets any phone from my contact number, please be careful.''

Minister Saurabh Bahuguna is the youngest son of former Uttarakhand CM Vijay Bahuguna. His grandfather Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna was a former Union Cabinet Minister and former CM of UP. Vijay Bahuguna was elected MLA in 2012 from the Sitarganj assembly seat. In 2017, Vijay Bahuguna's son Saurabh Bahuguna had reached the assembly after winning the electoral battle. Congress' Malati Biswas had lost by a margin of over 28,000 votes in front of BJP's Saurabh Bahuguna. In 2022 also, the BJP reposed faith in Saurabh and made him a candidate from Sitarganj.
