Names of Covid warriors will be written on training shirts of England players

The England players will write the names of those fighting against Covid-19 on their training shirt, whose background is related to cricket, during the upcoming Test series against the West Indies. This will be done in honour of the selfless services of these employees. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced that the epidemic caused the Ageas Bowl and the three-match series at the vacant stadium in Old Trafford to be named 'Rage the Bat' in honour of those fighting the Covid-19 has gone. This will be the first competitive cricket competition after the cricket tournament was stalled in March due to the epidemic. Prior to the series starting in the Ageas Bowl from July 8, the names of selected health workers will be written on the shirts of England players.

Those who will be named on the shirt include Dr Vikas Kumar, an anaesthesia and emergency medicine specialist at Darlington Memorial Hospital, and full-time nurse Emily Blackmore. Vikas plays for the Cowgate Cricket Club in Newcastle on free time, while Emily is a full-time nurse and volunteer at the Astwood Bank Cricket Club. This list includes the names of teachers, doctors, nurses and social workers who have been nominated by the local cricket clubs.

Quoting England captain Joe Root, the ECB said, "We have waited a long time for this moment and we would not have been here without the West Indies." We are grateful to him for this tour. "He said," We will use this series for 'Rage the Bat' in his honour. We will wear a shirt named after them with pride.
