USA: The second generation HomePod smart speaker has been released by Apple. Now, in addition to playing music and completing other Siri-enabled tasks, it can also check the humidity and temperature in your room.
Two HomePods can be paired to create a stereo pair. The HomePod (2nd generation) is available for pre-order at Rs. 32,900. It will be available from February 3.
The new HomePod features a backlit touch screen and a transparent mesh fabric design. White and midnight are the two colors that are offered.

The new speaker is almost identical in size to its predecessor, measuring 6.62 inches tall and 5.59 inches wide. Its weight is about 2.3 kg. Tap to start/stop music, double-tap to skip a track, and touch and hold to bring up Siri.

An iPhone SE (2nd generation) or later, an iPhone 8 or later running iOS 16.3 or later, an iPad Pro, an iPad (5th generation) or later, an iPad Air (3rd generation) or later version of, or an iPad mini (5th generation) running iPadOS 16.3, the new HomePod is compatible. To create a stereo pair, users need to pair identical HomePods.

The new HomePod is available for pre-order in India through the official Apple e-store at a price of Rs. 32,900. Its offer will start from 3 February.
