Grand Canyon is a National Park, which is situated in the northwest corner of Arizona, close to the borders of Utah and Nevada. The Colorado River, which flows through the canyon, drains water from seven states, but the feature we know as Grand Canyon is entirely in Arizona. Most of the Grand Canyon lies within Grand Canyon National Park and is managed by the National Park Service. Painted in the bright hues of orange, brown and green with the Colorado River flowing beneath it, even time stands still at the Grand Canyon. There is always change in the temperature. It totally depends on which part of the canyon you are standing. The coldest, wettest weather station in the region is the Bright Angel Ranger Station on the North Rim, while the hottest is just 8 miles away at Phantom Ranch. The Grand Canyon might look like the perfect place to go looking for dinosaur bones, but none have ever been found there and for good reason. The rock that makes up the canyon walls is vastly more ancient than the dinosaurs – about a billion years more ancient. You can feel here like time has just stopped and you can live long for how much time you want. The city of peace: Gangtok
