Pune: A shocking incident has come to light from Pune city of Maharashtra. Here a female teacher is accused of beating up a 6-year-old child. The family says that after seeing the child's poor handwriting, the teacher got angry and assaulted the child. After the incident, the child got very scared. When the family came to know, they went to the police station and complained. The police have registered an FIR against the accused. A non-cognizable offense under IPC section 506 (criminal intimidation) has been registered against the accused teacher at Vanwadi police station, Pune police said. Police said the teacher was upset over the "bad" handwriting of the student. The incident took place on October 20. The family members say that the teacher beat up the child in the school. According to the report received, the school staff also asked the child not to narrate the incident to his family members. The child was also threatened for this. Later, when the family asked him about the incident, he informed them about the incident. At present, being a non-cognizable offense, the police cannot arrest the guilty teacher without a warrant. In this case, the investigation cannot be started without the permission of the court. Earlier, a case was reported from Faridabad in Haryana. The class 12 student went on a ventilator after being beaten up by a PTI teacher there. The family had lodged a police complaint against the school management. The incident took place at DPS School, Sector 11. The family members of the student, Apoorva Singh Yadav, alleged that the son reached school 10 minutes late.
