NCPCR orders registration of FIR on Twitter as content of sexual abuse of children is on Twitter

New Delhi: National Commission for The Right to Child Protection (NCPCR) Chairman Priyank Lawango has written to Delhi Police to file an FIR against micro blogging social media platform Twitter. Twitter is alleged to have given false information to the commission. Lawgo said that there are links to some WhatsApp groups on Twitter that are full of child sexual abuse.

He said that these objectionable videos are also being purchased and sold. Similarly, toolkits of the 'Dark Web' are also present on it. The head of the NCPCR also mentioned the incident when zubair, who AltNews, had made a photo of a girl viral on social media after which people threatened to rape her. Lawgo said 'Children are not safe on Twitter and there are children sexually abused (Pedofile) and people who threaten it'.

Priyank Lawango said, "The place where there is a system of going to the dangerous world of the internet like the dark web and deep web on Twitter cannot be safe for children. The Commission had summoned Twitter in this regard. Twitter misinformed the Commission. Violated Section 11,15,19 of pocso Act. Violated Section 199 of the IPC. That is why we have informed the Delhi Police about the matter and asked them to register a FIR against Twitter".
