The news says that these four women from Kerala had gone to Nangarhar in Afghanistan between 2016 and 2018. Her husband was killed in different attacks in Afghanistan. After this, these four were among the thousands of women associated with ISIS who surrendered to the authorities. Saraj has also said that the Afghan government is engaged in talking to all countries to deport these people to their country. When these women had surrendered, Indian security agencies had also held talks with them. In December 2019, officials of Indian security agencies went to Kabul, where they interviewed all four and their children.
