THESE Changes to Note Starting August 1: FASTag Rules, HDFC Credit Card , and CAT Regn

Starting August 1, several important changes will come into effect. These include updates to FASTag rules, revisions to HDFC Bank's credit card terms, and the commencement of registration for the Common Admission Test (CAT). Here are the details:

1. New FASTag Rules

From August 1, new FASTag regulations will be implemented:

Replacement: FASTags older than five years must be replaced. KYC Update: Know Your Customer (KYC) details must be updated by October 31. This applies to FASTags issued three years ago. New Vehicle Registration: New vehicles must be registered with an updated FASTag within 90 days of purchase. Mandatory Linking: The vehicle registration number and chassis number must be linked to the FASTag. Verification and Uploads: Users must verify databases, upload clear photos of the car's front side, and link the FASTag to a mobile number.

2. HDFC Credit Card Terms

HDFC Bank has revised its terms and conditions for credit cardholders, effective August 1:

Fees on Transactions: A 1% fee will be charged on rental transactions done through third-party payment apps like PayTM, CRED, MobiKwik, and Cheq. Other Fees: Fees will also be applied to utility, fuel, education, and international transactions. Late Payment Charges: Revised late payment charges will be implemented. Rewards Redemption Fees: Fees on redeeming rewards will be revised. Finance Charges: Finance charges on outstanding fees will be updated. EMI Processing Fees: Revised fees for EMI processing will be introduced.

3. Common Admission Test (CAT) Registration

Registration for the Common Admission Test (CAT) will start on August 1 at 10 am:

Registration Details: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has released the notification for online registration of CAT 2024. Application: Candidates can apply for various postgraduate and Fellow/Doctorate programs offered by the IIMs through the official CAT website: iimcat.ac.in.
