Jaipur: If you have pending work related to your bank, then get it done soon. The bank will remain closed for four consecutive days in September. On 26 and 27 September, banks have a two-day national strike, in which officers of all banks will be involved. However, employees-related organizations have not yet supported the strike. Four unions of public sector bank officials have announced to go on a two-day strike from September 26 to protest against the announcement of merger of ten state-owned banks. Apart from this, there will be no work in banks on September 28, because banks are closed on the last Saturday of the month and on September 29, there will be a Sunday holiday in the bank. Actually, the central government has announced to merge ten public sector banks to form four banks. In the notice sent to the Indian Banks Association IBA, the officers' unions have said that they have proposed to go on strike to protest the merger of banking sector. On August 30, the government had announced to integrate four public sector banks and form four banks. Bank employee leader Surajbhan Singh Amera has said that on 26 and 27 September there is a two-day national strike, in which officials of all banks will participate.
