Md. Iftikar Seikh registered a victory over Anchit Gogoi 6-1, 6-2 in final in the 23rd India Club-Anup Lahoty Open Tennis Championship-2021 in Guwahati on Sunday. In the Boys’ Singles (under 14 years) Ved Aditya Kalita won the title beating Riyan Kashyap 6-2, 6-3 while in the Girls’ Singles (under 14 years) Adrika Rajkumari bagged the title defeating Roshni Bharadwaj in the finals.In the Senior Gentlemen’s Doubles (above 35 years), Rajesh Barua and Shiv Kumar Prajapati bagged the title defeating Rajeeb Bora and Dilip Mohanaty 6-7, 6-1, 6-3. In the Boys’ Singles (under 18 years) Anchit Gogoi clinched the title beating Ved Aditya Kalita 6-2, 6-1 in the while in the Girls’ Singles (under 18 years) Justina Buragohain won the title defeating Taniya Kumari 7-5, 6-4 in the finals respectively. In the Senior Gentlemen’s Doubles (above 45 years), Dr. Ankush Dutta and Biram Borkataky won the title beating Ashis Agarwal and Dipjyoti Barua 4-2, 4-2 in the finals, respectively. In the Senior Gentlemen’s Doubles (above 55 years), Kalyan Kumar Das and Amlandeep Das clinched the title defeating Randip Barua and Rajib Handique 8-3 in the final. The championship was organised by India Club, a premier tennis-playing club of the region under the auspices of All Assam Tennis Association (AATA).
