This company is going to be closed for the first time in the history of Tata Group

Tata Group is preparing to close its 21-year-old telecom service venture.Tata Group's Chief Financial Officer Saurabh Agarwal and Managing Director of Tata Teleservices, N Srinath, met the officials of the Department of Telecommunication and asked their current spectrum to surrender The way to sell is discussed. However, the company has not yet commented on the issue, but according to media reports, 500 to 600 employees were removed from the Sales Marketing team.  According to the news in the Business Newspaper Economy Times, the company is going to shut down its business. They will start its process this month. Officials of the Tata Group interacted with the Department of Telecommunication officials for nearly one and a half hours. Once the process starts, it will be completed within 60 days. Tata Teleservices is operating in 19 circles in India.  The scope of Tata Telecommunication business is broadened to 19 telecom circles across the country. Although the number of its subscribers is continuously decreasing. According to the latest data from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, the number of wireless users has decreased to 4.2 million from July 2017, from 4.37 crore in June. With this, the market share of Tata Teleservices has dropped to just 3.55 percent in the country.  Tata Group will be the first major unit to be shut down in 149-year history. Tata Teleservices was established in 1996 with landline operation. But now, Tata Group is exploring the possibility of employing Tata Teleservices employees in other businesses. But there were reports of retrenchment a few months ago.
