This south Actor hospitalised after testing positive for COVID 19

Vadivelu, a Tamil comedian and character actor, was taken to a private hospital in Chennai after testing positive for Covid-19.

On Thursday, he returned to Chennai from London, where he had attended a few functions. He was tested at Chennai's international airport, and he tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday.

His health was stable, according to the doctors who were treating him, and he was healing well.

During the 2011 elections, the comedian took a break from acting and made loud political statements against DMDK leader Vijayakanth while campaigning for DMK candidates. During the campaign in Tiruvanaikovil, where then-Chief Minister and AIADMK supremo J. Jayalalithaa was running for re-election, the comedian-actor was attacked with slippers.
