Governor Whitmer said that about 42,000 people are being threatened in the downtown Midland city due to the dam breakdown. Therefore, there is a particularly severe flood risk. Within the next 12 to 15 hours, the city of Midland is expected to fill about 9 feet of water. According to the report, the water level in the Tittabavasi river rose from 30.5 feet (9.3 meters) to 38 feet (11.6 meters) by Wednesday morning due to continuous heavy rains.
